we started to clear some of the overgrown brambles ...
and found...
We're going to have to ensure that this overgrown pond area is fenced off - too steep and too deep for the horses. We'll leave it to grow wild for the Devon Lions and Tigers!

The trouble with finding gates in ancient woods is you never know what you find when you walk through them. A faun, perhaps, sitting on a log, playing pan pipes.
