Early July 2019
we discovered a baby bat in our living room. Then we found several more. Turned out, because of the heat there had been a lot of pushing and shoving up in the Bat Nursery under the roof eaves and the little ones had fallen down the chimney.
Result - get out the ladder and put them back in the bat roost.
Mission was accomplished. We only lost one little one which didn't make it.
Apparently, the mother bats spend several days trying to find their babies, so hopefuly they were all reunited.
These little chaps and chapesses were about the size of a 2p piece - the smallest was the size of my thumbnail.
